Guest Post: Susi from Arcadian Lighting

Hi, I'm Susi, a writer over at Arcadian Lighting, a great source for lighting fixtures, ideas and trends. I'm so happy to be guest blogging about jewel tones for Color Canopy. Jewel tones are gorgeous colors for interiors no matter the season, but seem especially lovely during the winter. Enjoy!

Fuchsia is a wonderful jewel tone accent color that works with most other jewel tones. Here fuchsia is paired with a bright aqua on the walls and in the tall glass table lamps—a beautiful combination.

Blue, purple, green, gold, fuchsia and ruby reds all work together in this jewel tone vignette. Most jewel tones have a cool hue or undertone that allows them to work in harmony.

Tanzanite purple and sapphire blue are a great jewel tone color combination. It gives beautiful depth of color to a bedroom design. The dark colors create a cozy space for sleeping or reading by the light of twin wall lamps.
