Circus Party for M

We had a circus party for my daughter's 7th birthday!

Here are a few clips

My daughter is a big fan of Lalaloopsy dolls. Lucky we had Peanut Big top's pet elephant! We used it to decorate the cake in circus colors of Yellow red and blue! Added some clown/smiley faced candles to give a circus themed cake!

Since I am not too fond of balloons, I got some paper tissue flowers (available at the Party City) and fluffed them up and put them on the wall. Instant glam and takes about a half hour - to fluff the sheets and put them all up!

To make the fruit juices a bit funky, added some strawberry and lychee jelly into mason jars.

I had some paper balls which I had made some years ago. Added the hat to a wooden elephant that I had and voila the table was all set!

Easy photo booth!

Took a long sheet of wrapping paper in red and white polka dots. Put them on a corner wall.

And that's the birthday girl with for the Funny Face Shot.

I have attached the moustache and hat prints  to wooden sticks. Wooden sticks available at the Dollar Store. Moustache and hat prints from Get Creative Juice

Preparing for a Circus Party

My first born will turn 7 tomorrow! And I wonder how time has flown! Still remember the day she was born! We used to live in Vancouver, BC  then. On that day, I was behaving as if it was the last day I would eat something good! Bah! I totally freaked out and was eating dim sum, chaat what not! Well, the long nights and even longer days are not that vivid! (Lying lying)

And here we are now preparing for her 7th birthday!

Thank heavens for the internet and Pinterest! I got a whole bunch of free CIRCUS PARTY Printables Right here

Will keep you dated on the parrtty pictures through the week!

Of dressing up the cupcakes

My friend S celebrated her daughter D's 6th Birthday yesterday. It was an all girls' party and for a change the mommies also had some great time sharing some adult conversation while the girls played dress up, danced, did some painting and coloring.

S had organised a very nice evening for the 5 and 6 year old girls and one such event was to decorate cupcakes. Some girly fun and oodles of giggles.

Some home made chocolate cupcakes waiting to be decorated

The tools to decorate the cupcakes. I so like this...no mess and easy to use squeeze tubes.

The cupcakes we brought home. Guess which ones I made? I made 2 of 'em!!!!
